I'm no analyst but it seemed like they went very conservative on defense after we went up by 42. No run blitzes, very little line stunts, etc. Could that have contributed to the running success Florida had? But agree w Sir Horns, tackling was atrocious

The second WR unit not nearly as dangerous without Cook. With Cook, they are basically another #1 unit.

Aside from the one blown coverage (that led to missed GF) and one decent drive (that led to made FG), the defense was lights out in the first half.

All defensive stats in the 2nd half need to be taken with a grain of salt, lots of back ups and base defense out there.

Sydir Mitchell got a lot of snaps, and not just in garbage time. He was out there in the 1st qtr. He must have done the right things after his sideline blow up and Sark wasn't kidding about him having 2 really good weeks of practice. He seemed to hold strong at the point of attack, his first snap he caused a tackle at the LOS.

I don't know if he was out there in the first half but it was surprising to see him without a catch until the 3rd qtr. Seriously doubt he is in the dog house but perhaps the gameplan or defensive coverage just forced the ball elsewhere.

I figured he would be gone for good. I think he can benefit us over the next 7 (possible) games and definitely next year.
