One last thing on Malik....I really like the guy. However.....He has been at Texas for 2 full years....or is it three? Anyway, if he is still considered a project after all that time working with Sark, maybe he just doesnt have it. He has a huge arm, but after all this time still needs work?...I am happy for him that he will maybe get a chance to play, but at the same time I am happy he will no longer clog our roster.

Agree, although I think he's still worth investing more time with. My issue though is – if Sark can't develop him, then who can?

Maybe the majority of he time would be a better statement. The schooter acident his first year until hie sideline injury during a game he was out a lot.
If I recall, he was still recovering from a high school injury when he reported to Texas.

In my opinion Maalik could still be a really good QB. He needs a ton of game experience because he didn’t get much in HS and has very little in college. He has all the physical tools, work ethic and leadership qualities.
Twi good things about Duke, he’s going to be “the guy” and Diaz’s defense will ensure he has to have BIG offensive numbers to win games.

lol. Diaz’s defense were not exactly stellar. PK is a HELL of a lot better.
Murphy will get better with game time experience. Remember how Quinn struggled in his freshman year ? He had some great games but was inconsistent.
No substitute for game experience.
I do think he needs to be able to run some tho. A qb that can pick up first downs with his feet is a big part of college game.
I wish him the best. He was a stellar team mate and a true longhorn.

Some of y'all may remember this crazy story as Garcia was another hyped SoCal QB originally committed to USC and eventually signed with Miami.

He wasn't able to compete his senior year because of COVID restrictions in California, so the family decided to transfer to Valdosta High in Georgia.

Problem was he didn't meet eligibility requirements, so his parents decided to legally separate and he moved with his father while his mother stayed behind and kept her job in California.

Netflix happened to be doing a reality show on Valdosta High football at the time, and his father goes on to do an interview with ESPN saying he separated from his wife so his son could meet eligibility requirements.

It didn't end well and that interview resulted in Garcia being ruled ineligible, and then an appeal was also denied.

Shemar Turner not playing for aggy tonight. Probably headed to the NFL, but would be hilarious if he portaled out.
