Nahlin at IT mentioned at first check he doesn't expect Texas to pursue, even if you see Texas mentioned.
A little bit after that he said he was less certain that was the case, so maybe Texas will kick the tires.

Man they get Aborr and now Byrd. What's Lashlee selling ?
This was never a matter of if but when, but he stayed longer than I expected. He's had a few big moments at A&M, but has for the most part underachieved, or maybe there was just so much change and turmoil that he never really had a chance. IMO, Arkansas would be a good fit for him. He'd be the No. 1 guy and Petrino, now that he's away from micro-manager Jimbo, could do wonders for him. I know Cook wants him at Texas and maybe that happens, but IMO, Arkansas is a better landing spot. We'll see.

More on WR Evan Stewart from IT...
They checked with a DFW source and they said WR Johntay Cook II would have no problem with Stewart joining the team, and implied he's likely recruiting him to Texas.
Cook actually posted a picture of him and Stewart together this afternoon, and promptly deleted it.
They also said Sark has a good feel for this recruitment and knows the team wouldn't mind bringing him in.

247 added they have had a couple sources tell them for a few weeks now that the Texas staff feels good about their position should Stewart decide to enter the portal.
SMU had a great season and is putting together a strong recruiting/portal class. They will open some eyes in the ACC next year.

Wow, eight 4* and seven 3* players portalling out. If Riley doesn't bolt he likely to lose his job next year. Next years team my be Clay Helton bad.
