I agree it's suspect, but that was his MO at Oklahoma too.
Riley obviously feels urgency to win now after a dismal season.

Trey Moore would be the most experienced and highest talent pass rusher at the position the moment he is on campus. Collin Simmons likely to quickly move into a role but likely a 3rd down specialist early on.
I think we have some talented edges but no big time pass rushers. Burke is solid and will do the work but he isn't a natural pass rusher. The others you mentioned could all be talented pass rushers but need some development.
I do agree, more dire need at DT but improving the pass rush will make the defense that much more effective.
