I think you've seen what Card has to offer. It was sufficient most of the time. But he's a known commodity.

However, if he stayed he would risk being passed by Murphy, who has done nothing but quietly improve his game behind the scenes over the past year.

I assume Sark hasn’t had the opportunity to sit down with each of these guys yet.
Card is a no brainer. Best case for him at Texas next year is 3rd string IF Manning red shirts. Rumor is Maalik will be pushing Ewers for QB1 next year.
Seriously...the guy got NO PT this year and just because of his reported gun of an arm, they think that he will challenge QB1...take the Golden child out of the conversation for a second, Sark showed us he is willing to die on the hill with QE as his QB1, and you think MM has a shot at QB1...ok but I sure dont see it

MM would really have to tear it up to pull that off.

We just went through the freshman blues with a inexperienced QB. Now we're going to do it again?

You can expect Casey Cain and Jaden Alexis to enter soon, I am hearing.

I asked my buddy if there was reason for concern. He said he thinks this is a fat-trimming measure for us and a chance to get meaningful playing time for those transfers. He said nobody we're seeing go are players who put in significant playing time. I asked about Johnson (who did have PT this year) and he said there was a reason Brooks was playing while Johnson was not at the end of the season.

I'd be shocked if Merrill and Goram-Welch don't portal.  They've already been passes by the 7 freshmen we signed last year.

Yep, Brooks had passed J. Johnson.  Brooks is going to be a good one.

I only won the pick'em one week, the one that just passed (Baylor).

I think you're referring to JD here.
Sorry Sir, my eyes aren't what they used to be so I missed your name highlighted. Actually thought it was directed at JD since he claimed a win just about every week as any aggie would.lol

Is that person Worthy of a mention?
He's worth one but not Worthy. I wouldn't be shocked if Big Al opted to explore his options. He could be a monster for us next season in my opinion but hasn't seemed to be the dominant force I for one hoped. As I said, I hope I am wrong.

one of my sources tells me that Card will graduate at the end of the semester which makes sense as to why he is going thru the portal, does that give him one year or two years of eligibility remaining
