*****GAME THREAD: #1 Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Texas Longhorns*****

You're a piece of work. I thought Bijan did about as well as any back could against that defense. Two of those guys are ready for the NFL right now.
He had a Heisman shootout, and he lost. He's a special player, but today he was used wrong. Nothing for him worked between the tackles, but we never stopped trying. Roshon found more space. It's just 1 game, but he didn't have 100 yards against LaMon either. If Bijan is going to be effective, they are going to have to move him around more.

Hate losing that way, but we played good. The recruits at the game probably liked it better than if we had gotten our butt kicked.

Exactly my point, that's where it worked. Rushing was a waste of plays.
No chance you seriously thought pregame Bijan would have holes to run through with a young O-Line against and inferior opponent

In spite of what Sark said at the halftime interview, "Card is good to go" he did not turn him loose the way he did Quinn.

It was back to the Bijan on 1st, Bijan on 2nd, bail us out on 3rd and long.

Super stoked for out team today, especially the D. They carried us. Offensive productivity was too weak, especially after Quinn left. Card finished Quinn's drive for a TD, but after that it was FG, FG, FG. That won't ever get it done. You have to play to win.

If you are the best 20 game back in Texas history, yes I do expect you to carry the team. Not matter who the opponent is (and they were weak today). To win the Heisman, you have to get it done.

I'm proud of the effort we had, across the board. I said before the game, one of the keys would be coming out with no injuries. I hope the Ewers prognosis is minor.

Nobody on this board predicted this game. The line was what? 25 pts? We almost pulled it off.

Regardless, I think its safe to say we no longer suck.
Clavicle strain Sark said. Getting an MRI

You can't blame the running game on Card, they sucked with Quinn too. Bama can stop anybody's run. Hell without Card's runs, you could subtract about 40 yards. We showed some improvement with Roshon in Q4. Maybe Bijan was double teamed? Whatever it was, our star player wasn't there when we needed him, and Bama's was.
Quinn had 18 plays.

Officials' reason they couldn't call a safety.

I think we all know what "thoughtful discussion" translates too. Something like "Male Bovine Manure".

Hate they lost this one but great game.

Left 9 points on the field.

Worthy dropping the pass on the opening drive.  Still got 3 points but should have had 7.

Missued fg before half

Missed safety

9 points there that would have changed the outcome.  Worthy catches that one 9 out of 10 times.  We just had the one miss today.

Missed fg because of bad snap.   Need work on our deep snapper.  That kick plus snaps on punts were low. Easily correctable.

Missed safety not much can be done there.  Young just made a great save to throw it before down.  That's a safety with any other qb.

Clean a couple things up and play like this the rest of the season and it will be a great year.

The ball was live because Young's body never touched the ground. If we had intercepted for a TD it would have counted. It was the right call. There were plenty of bad ones though.

So you agree with me about the Bama defense. Bijan did well today. You blaming him for a loss is just nuts.

This was only Heisman shootout in your mind. Texas wasn't even supposed to be in this game. Even if it was, explain the absence of one candidate for three quarters.

Is it intentional grounding on a forward pass that hit a defenders helmet.  I'm assuming that once a defender touches the ball it doesn't have to cross the line of scrimmage.  But I'm not sure of the rules in that case.
