SignUp Now!Suppression is the act of keeping something from happeningNo one is saying that they are taking away their ability to vote either.
I disagree. It fits the definition to a tee.Suppression is the act of keeping something from happening
since they still have the ability to vote then there is no suppression
Then you don’t understand the definitionI disagree. It fits the definition to a tee.
Again, I disagree. Let me give you a different example to help you understand. Then you don’t understand the definition
Eliminating a avenue that is not safe and secure is a good thing for our country and a win for all the legal votes.Again, I disagree. Let me give you a different example to help you understand.
Let's talk guns. A gun can have a silencer on it. Another description for it is a noise suppressor. Noise is not completely eliminated but toned down or suppressed. Fits well within the definition of suppression or root word suppress.
Eliminate an avenue for voting, especially if you know a certain demographic uses it, and you have voter suppression. The intent is to lower the participation.

suppression and suppressor are not synonymous
A silencer, also known as a sound suppressor, suppressor or sound moderator, is a muzzle device that reduces the acoustic intensity of the muzzle report and the recoil when a gun is discharged, by modulating the speed and pressure of the propellant gas from the muzzle and hence suppressing the muzzle blast.
One is absolute and the other isn’t
I know and understand the definitions, you seem to be the one confused. You’re trying to compare a silencer or gun suppressor to voter suppression. Voter suppression can only happen if the voter can cast a vote. Getting rid of drop boxes doesn’t stop anyone from voting so there is no voter suppression no matter how many times you say different. It was never proven to be insecure.
suppression - is the act or instance of suppressing
suppressor - one that suppresses
Notice the common word, suppress.
In any case since you want to parse definitions, here's a couple for you.
Voter suppression is a strategy used to influence the outcome of an election by discouraging or preventing specific groups of people from voting.
