All Things Politics Thread

I may be way behind. In an attempt to enjoy a relatively low-stress summer, I have limited myself to about an hour of news each day.

I saw today that Biden would like to give more power to the IRS.

Comments?
Of course he would. We've already seen what they do with the IRS – go after and stifle their enemies. They just want more manpower to make it easier to do and go after more than before.

Climate change and axis drift.

Apparently the natural movement of the axis that alarmed scientists in the 80's due to glacier melt has now reversed itself and doubled in speed. The culprits? The depletion of underground aquafers in India, https://www.tribuneindia.com/news/archive/features/shrinking-india-is-pushing-the-north-pole-246772 and the amount of concrete poured by china the last 21 years is more than the USA poured in the 20th century.
Well, yeah. But its shit concrete. Just like they've sold a boatload of steel in the past 30 years – but it's shit steel and everyone over here knows it.

Steel is made stronger, better, by adding other metals to it. This cost money to do. Straight steel is inferior but cheap.

China does cheap.

Well duh!

I have seen this now from three different sources. But try to find a corroboration on google is impossible.

Heard about it but don't trust it.
I've been using it for about six months now. I'm no longer chased around the internet by amazon and google. I like that.

Political searching - still see a lot of liberal sites but conservative sites at least are listed.

Otherwise, just as productive as google was, IMO.
