I think You think I did. But that’s not what I said.  I said we don’t lose many. We lose more to Alabama, Oklahoma, etc.  We only lose one every second or third year to Stanford/Notre Dame maybe one a year that is serious about us.  We lost the Brockermeyer’s to Alabama and they were legacy’s.  
If a recruit gets accepted to Stanford we’re probably going to lose. We don’t have the same issue with the Oklahomas and Alabamas.  We’re harder for a recruit to get in.

If Thompson goes down to injury, you're then with Card and a rehabbed JQ. After that, it's the 3-star Wright. So I think he's just throwing in another talented passer and just see how the cookie crumbles.

Correct, we only have 2 returning QBs and 1 incoming freshman who is ranked about the same level as Lourd.

Plus we don't have to count him towards total takes/scholarships as a walk-on.

I don't see the slightest reason to not go after him.
