I just realized what a simple and obvious concept this is. Then I started thinking that Hermans staff did not seem to adhere to it. Hell, even when Bijan started running wild right out of the gate he would be benched for long periods. Our Oline didnt start to gel until Majors came in at center.Was Collins in the doghouse or something?Why did Casey Thompson never see the field even when Sam would go series after series of 3 and out?

Not all of this is on the staff.........but...some...is....

Thompson never saw the field because Herman kept games close.  He’d take his foot off the gas at times and not get young guys in.  Also I feel like at times they tried to force the ball downfield trying to build stats for Sam in hopes of setting him up for a Heisman race.  That was early season.  It was odd seeing 4 verticals when it was 3rd and 4, but it’s the only explanation I can think of.  Or they hoped he’d run it.  Oh well.  It sounds like sark wants to be aggressive.  That’ll be a breath of fresh air.

You must remember. Wilson shares with many other quality WRs. But they do go to him often and I don't think anyone in their right mind would say he wasn't a huge pick up for them and would have been for us.

The SMH was not at you. It was at his entire recruitment which was a complete F*** up by Texas.

odd seeing a verticle when it is 3rd and 4?.....How about with the Conference title still in play....you are up by 4 with 3 min to play starting on your own 30 yd line and you go....1st down rush for 4 yds....2nd and 6 (needing maybe 2 1st downs to ice the game ) you go wayyyy deep and miss. Now 3rd and 6 you throw some silly curl route that was a huge miss. Now having run off a whopping 30 seconds on the clock you have to punt it away. It wasnt odd. I had seen that for 3 years....

the astonishing thing to me...I mean beyond belief thing....is that When Herman took the job at U of H, I read an article that said Saban had invited him to Tuscaloosa to show him how he had defeated the Bama defense. In return Saban would show him how to build a successful program.

The total dumbassery I have seen from Herman tells me that Saban cheated him.

He had almost committed to Bama and Sark was his recruiter. Says we may be in the running. I think he's 6'1 or so and runs a 10.6 100 m I hear. Kid's name is Xavier Worthy, a 4-star.
