I don't think we're gonna hear much this week about staff hires with Sark preparing for the tile game.

That's not his real account that's a fans account

To add some other things they mentioned:

- for those who don't know, Martin was one of Sark's top assistants and recruiters at USC
- Martin's current deal at Tennessee expires on 1/31
- Auburn could be tough competition if Sark pursues Martin, but their relationship is viewed as a big advantage for Texas
- Martin's son is a big time baseball player going into his senior season of high school, so that could potentially complicate things a little
- Texas' baseball program has already spoken with Martin's son, but I don't know if that was before or after the Sark hire
OrangeBloods is hearing Martin is not at the top of Sark's list right now.

What do y’all think about Kevin Steele? Been under a bunch of great coaches. Always has a good defense.

I like going after guys that want or look to be future head coaches but Steele probably wants to be a head coach right now at this stage of his career... but admittedly, I dont know.

He is a sec guy but auburns defense played as good as anyone against that loaded LSU team last year. Ash is still my top choice though followed by Derek Mason

Staff hires are critical.  Probably a good indication of what we have in store for us.

If there are curious / head scratching announcements... brace yourselves.
I'll bet we can find a couple of coaches who were considered head-scratchers at the time when hired on every staff. But, that's what makes message boards fun. Civil discourse + humor

Really wish he could keep Yurcich. I think we saw in the final 2 games what his offense could do. Minus the 1 1/ 2 quarters that hermie choked off against Colo.

Texas football team is having a players only meeting right now, could be drama we shall see

Sark is a different guy from his USC days, I'm sure he has a whole different circle of friends, he might have some enablers from his USC days that he wants to stay away from, not saying TM was one , but don't they teach you in recovery to not go back to the same old same old in your life

I dont get it. If our team didnt suck we wouldnt have made a change. I have seen ....i hope he keeps             with damn near every coach but Herman mentioned.

I dont care if he keeps some or none of them. I just want him to hire guys that will do the best job period!

As far as a player only meeting being a potential problem....screw that! If they all quit, then he will not have any issues with any of them. Those that want to play for UT stay and those that dont....GTFO!

OrangeBloods mentioned that Sark has a major connection to Cali powerhouse Mater Dei and he's basically the reason five-star QB Bryce Young flipped to Alabama from USC and decided to leave home.

Sark's son, Brady, was a teammate of Young at the time.

TFB has been insisting that Young is a name to watch if Texas hired Sark, especially with the one-time transfer rule expected to be approved by the NCAA.
If Bryce Young came over to UT then that would change the perception of the Sark hire. No only with UT fans, but it would be a big deal in college football. It would be the first time we would have the number one QB in the country since Vince. Unless you count the couple of months of the Ewers commitment.
