Well this team is probably 6-6 right now.  No different result wise.  Games are close but somehow we manage to give them away with stupidity. 

Beck needs to go, he has no creativity whatsoever.  

He called one decent game vs Iowa State.  Pay tOSU to take him back.

At some point we should demand more than "bright future" and "improving"  cause I see 3 losses we gave away gift wrapped.

My thoughts.

1. I am proud as I can be of this defense. Today, the talk of the football world is our defense. We've come such a long way from where it used to be.

2. Sam, we would not have been in that position at the end if not for you. Don't hang your head. You're a warrior.

3. We had no business being in this game. This isn't a curse. It's a team growing up. We always knew this was the tough stretch in the schedule and no one I know counted OSU as a win.

4. Our punter is da bomb. Just give him whatever hardware they give to punters. His name should already be on it.

5. Boyd played a helluva game. 

6. Okafor drives me crazy, but the hold he was called for was not a hold.

7. I hope Hemphill-Mapps is okay. We need that guy.

8. Holton Hill is a complete player. He's not just a cover corner. Kid can stick.

9. Hagar had a nice game.

10. This one sucks because it was right there for the taking. I honestly thought we would pull it out. Doesn't always work the way we want it to. Love my Horns.

Herman pressed saying we need to fix the offense.  It's a little late for that I would say.  Say goodbye to Beck and let Merhinger call the plays.  Change is needed.  You are not going to "fix" anything here.  Need lots of duct tape, spackle,  and some f'ing playcalling to win games.

We're back to creative offense (ala Colt McCoy) for the same reason McCoy did – the OL doesn't block.

You can't have a downfield passing game when your OL has people in your QBs face 2-3 seconds after snap.

You can't have a running game when you can't finish blocks.

And its not like we have options. We've tried everything we have on the OL, save Tope Imade.

Hope Holton Hill sticks around for his senior year but I doubt it.

Funny OSU has the same exact issues and they manage a top 10 ranking and a win today.

No offense SHA but I am past the rah rah bullshit.  Defense doesnt get a W.  The TEAM gets a loss.  The whole team wins or looses.  Pretty simple.

So why do you pay a HC and coordinators truck loads of money if they have no clue how to adjust to what the team is rather than what they want them to be. I agree that the OL is pure trash... that said, they aren’t SO BAD that we have no chance to win games at the end. They are terrible but we have still had the opportunity to win games, late, regularly. We put up enough points to stay in games and the D is a big part of that. 

Are you saying that you are happy with Tim Beck? OL or no OL, you are happy with the games he’s called? You’re happy with him running the qb nonstop? No screens, miscalling situational calls weekly, and poor game plans are the norm. I would take anybody at this point... he has proven himself inept on every level. He is paid to gameplan to our strengths, is he not? He does not do that.

2. Our O-Line is even uglier in person. Sam HAS to scramble every single play. Has no time to let a play develope in front of him.

3. Our offense as a unit is stagnent, again because of the O-line. It’s terrible to watch live. 

4. WHY DO WE THROW TO THE OUTSIDE SIDELINES EVERY PLAY, why not tear up the middle? No time maybe? Idk

I strongly considered going to the TCU game but after seeing this gamr have changed my mind. The final on that game will be 9-3 TCU. IF we're lucky to get in field goal range against that defense

I guess what is frustrating is how our OL isnt improving at all. 

The same guys minus Shack played well vs KState but looked worse today 2 games later.

I know some of the guys are young but Jesus this group should get better over time not worse.

The key question is just how good do you believe this offense is under Beck with a decent OL.

Im not buying it.  He was on his way out at Ohio State whether we hired him or not.

Sam had a bad game and the only way we have a chance to win now is when the defense plays lights out the whole game and Sam plays like VY in his junior year.  Too much room for error and this team knows where to find and does find the error.

The middle of the Texas o-line is the same as last year. Have they just regressed so much or is the scheme just completely different? Yes I know we had an absolute stud at RB last year, but he still had some holes to run through.
