SignUp Now!They should have.Once again, and I'm done with this psycho stuff after this one, I don't give a damn what Baylor's problems are. Perhaps they should have dropped Baylor in the rankings this week? Or maybe NOT make them 21 pt favorites?
If you want to throw a pity party for Baylor, thats fine. Save yourself the money and don't invite us. lol
Try being realistic. If you care about UT athletics, you should want the program to be on the right track. From what we have seen this year, the coachong staff isn't up to the job and the guy making the decisions is in over his head.Man what is up with all these negative comments. Look if you're a Texas fan there's no need for the negativity. This site is for those who love Texas, yes it's been a tough year but when you can beat a ranked team (I don't care about them missing their QBs, they still had a chance to win but didn't) then you celebrate every chance you get.
So did ours. That QB got hurt.
Sorry I'm not in the Strong camp.
At least Swoopes can run and not get hurt, unlike Heard. So did ours.
And half of this board doesn't even think he's a QB.
According to those people, we have a TE playing QB. So those people shouldn't argue that Baylor had a WR at QB, because we had a TE back there apparently, just saying.
Keep Calm and Hook'em Horns
I was talking about Swoopes as the QB that got hurt. He was still limping after the game and definitely wasn't 100% in the second halfAt least Swoopes can run and not get hurt, unlike Heard.
And he still played. And played well. When Heard takes a hit he is out of the game.I was talking about Swoopes as the QB that got hurt. He was still limping after the game and definitely wasn't 100% in the second half
Sorry I'm not in the Strong camp.
I get what you're saying, but they gave up 400 yards on the ground, but only 17 points. 17 points. I also realize in the 2nd half Texas was playing 7 freshman in the back 7. Let that sink in. 7 freshman were playing our back 7. Bedford has made multiple mistakes this year, but he did a wonderful job with experienced players last year. When do we cut him some slack trying to play so many guys with little experience. Let's judge him next year when young players can't be used as an excuse and he trusts them more. The problem is the coaching.
Baylor was playing a fourth string QB who couldn't pass the ball to save his life, so Texas dials up a defensive scheme that gives up 400 yards on the ground. A competent defensive coordinator doesn't get mauled like that. Hell, on Baylor's last drive, on 2nd and 26, the QB breaks loose for 24 yards. Our coaching staff absolutely sucks.
The players have potential. The coaching staff is in over its head.
I actually enjoyed Briles losing due to what he did back in 2008 voting against UT. So I don't know what you are talking about in being a Briles defender, he was a moron for not running the ball more. But whose team has more coaching failures this year? It was your source who said a while back that Strong would be out. It's funny though. Anyone who doesn't like Strong makes you upset. No, it's obvious you're in the Briles camp. I've never seen a more determined defender of what amounts to a colossal coaching failure on his part.
No apology necessary, just seek some help.
OK that's great. My point is that for those complaining that Baylor had a hurt QB, we had plenty of injuries too, including with both QBsAnd he still played. And played well. When Heard takes a hit he is out of the game.
Pretty sure he meant Swoopes played well, not Heard![]()
Heard today
0 for 2 passing.
3 rushes, 0 yards.
