Lol. I have to laugh. There is a consistency to programs than can deliver what Charlie Strong aspires to deliver. High caliber athletes who can qualify academically, who can keep themselves out of legal trouble and who can get through the rigors of UT. Until we have a team of those individuals, we are no better than aggys.

Embrace whatever standard you want. Grab your testicles and masturbate with your friends into a community mason jar. Go for it. Belittle those who want to believe UT football will not be ready to compete for championships until UT football has chamionship caliber recruits. The bottom line is that UT football will not be ready to compete for championships until UT has championship caliber recruits.

Championships are not just given out. Dream what you want to. We are a couple years away from building a serious contender and when we are recruiting kids who have trouble passing high school classes, we aren't going to have kids that can't pass university level classes.

I hope Dickson gets admitted to UT and has a great college experience.

Your arguments are totally schizophrenic.
So you are totally ok with having situations like we have had with Lampkin, Major, Clarington, etc.

Every single year, trying to find out how many of the recruiting class manages to squeak through the clearinghouse and rolling the dice to find out who is academically eligible for any given semester.

Yea. That is what UT athletics is about.

And I'm the troll. lol.

Grab your testicles and masturbate with your buddies. UT athletics isn't supposed to be about grade risks or character risks. You arent any better than an aggy if you think otherwise. I seriously hope Dickson qualifies and has a great UT experience, and I hope he doesn't lower himself to the expectations of some people.

My gawd, it took quite a bit of work for you to get there from where the topic actually is. My neck hurts from the hard left turn you just took.

With nothing to justify the accusation, you have officially labeled this 18-year-old a grade risk. Further, you have assumed the grade risk is comparable to a kid who didn't want to take a spanish test, who decommitted and went elsewhere, and another who will suit up in burnt orange this fall and doesn't even belong in this thread to begin with.

What other 18-year-olds have you bashed without having a reason or even trying to present a reason for it? All you did was throw some mud on a kid who isn't here to defend himself.

I'd say "troll" is playing nice here.

I'm not creating the grade risk issue. It is out there from numerous sources. I hate that UT has to deal with multiple grade risks every year (Lampkin, Major, Clarington). I am not a troll. I just hate it that the UT program has had to stoop to dealing with multiple grade risks every year. UT should be able to do better. Quality pograms should be above having to recruit kids who may not be able to get through the NCAA clearinghouse.

Literally, one of the dumbest things I've read on a message board. Alabama has grade issues every year. Hell, they had a couple issues this year. Here's one. http://www.abc3340.com/story/29484460/report-alabama-signee-desherrius-flowers-to-attend-juco

LSU has grade issues almost every year too. This is why I can't take you seriously. You either change the subject or just state opinions as fact that are far from fact.

Wow, I didn't realize absolutely everything about UT athletics was crappy and no positives exist at all. I should jump off of a high bridge and end this misery. You would think some people don't have jobs or lives to live and sit on their sofas pouting and moping all day long. I will continue to live my life and focus on more important things than Texas athletics. I will of course continue to support my teams and school before the atom bomb hits.

No clue, his senior year hasn't even started yet. Plenty of time even if he does have grade issues. Let me put it this way, it didn't stop other schools like A&M and Bama from recruiting him.
I don't think pursuit by the likes of Bama or a&m would be slowed at all by a guy with grade issues. hahaha Grade issues and legal problems are prereqs for those programs. Hahaha

Nope. Neither of those programs would have been worried and both of those programs would have dumded down their admissions requirements to admit the kid. Yea! UT is no better than aggy and no better than the Univ of Alabama. Let's celebrate. Let's all celebrate being no better than mediocre universities. Yea!

Isn't UT supposed to aspire to be more than aggy or Univ of Alabama? Have we really dropped our admissions standards to the level of those schools?

Yep, that's why Lampkin was denied acceptance at UT and will likely end up at OU or Alabama. Again, another idiotic comment. Do you just post complete nonsense?

And people wonder why David Shaw wanted nothing to do with UT.  Either UT has admissions standards or it becomes another Nebraska, living off admissions of athletes who can't handle the academic requirements.
