2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

So in order of importance is Mack #1 and Fields #2? Then let the rest fall where they may?
In terms of ranking by need, I might go--

Mack

Richmond

transfer QB

CB (Hill or Fields)

RB (either one)

WR

another CB

Will probably close with this --

1 DT

1 QB

2 CB
1 RB
1 WR
6 players

Not sounding too good Irvin/Auburn at the moment

He reportedly has made a plan to visit them

He cannot meet with any of their coaches face-to-face until Thurs (15th)

Further complicating the situation is that Auburn's classes start Weds

They want him to visit the weekend of Jan 16

We want him enrolled by Jan 14

So, if you see Tim on campus on Thursday, it's a very good sign (and perhaps you can let us know. Sames goes for Monday Jan 12, his original arrival date)

If not, then there's 7 spots open

Here was Tim on Jan 4 -- things have apparently changed in this short period of time

2016 5-star DB Eric Monroe

He is from Galena Park North Shore, one of the high schools where we've enjoyed quite a bit of recruiting success over the years.  But CB shows LSU lean

Eberts on Tim Irvin

http://www.burntorangenation.com/recruiting/2015/1/10/7526459/tim-irvin-auburn-tigers-texas-longhorns

"...... If Irvin does decide to visit Auburn, it would have to happen next weekend once the dead period ends -- the 5'9, 186-pounder is an early enrollee and classes at Texas start on January 20.

Or he could opt to put off his enrollment if he continues to feel uncertain about his decision.

Since he's interested in competing for early playing time, it's difficult to see him do that, but it's a possibility.

Irvin had tweeted last week that he was scheduled to arrive in Austin on January 12, more than a week before classes start and before the dead period ends. It looks like those plans may have changed.

The Texas staff will obviously be working to ensure that Irvin doesn't take the visit, but communication opportunities are limited during the dead period as it becomes clear that keeping the Florida Five together won't be entirely easy with cornerback Davante Davis scheduled to take two upcoming official visits."

Some good news and bad news on Munroe --

He is --

Teammates with RB commit Tristian Houston

Good friends with UT BBall commit Kerwin Roach

Step-brothers with Trey Hopkins; and

It looks like he made it to Austin in early Dec

— Twitter API (@twitterapi) November 7, 2011

However --

He will also be going to aggy junior day on Jan 25

Told 247 he sees John Chavis as a huge plus

Lastly, his former teammate Zach Whitley is looking to transfer to aggy

Supposedly Higdon is saying Clarington, Gilbert Johnson, Lampkin, Wheeler and Major are all questionable whether they are going to qualify academically. How can Strong pass on guys after the class gets to 31 when there is a good shot at least one of the five grade risks doesn't make it? I can only imagine the heat Strong would get if the worse case happens and after signing 31 recruits, only 26 make it on campus. With the needs the team has, I would hate to see unfilled slots and highly skilled players turned away.

From TOS, is that Daylon Mack told Higdon that he will not be taken his OV to Texas or going to Texas

Mack strikes me as someone without a lot of focus and who needs a lot of attention. I can't see him in 6 a.m. study hall, which means I can't see him doing well in Charlie Strong's system. I understand he is has a lot of potential, but I'm not so sure missing out on him is a big issue.

Mack -- "Just wasn't feeling them." Dayton Mack said. "Going to visit A&M on the 16th, Auburn on the 23rd and TCU on the 30th."

per Higdon
