2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

Cant wait to see Kyler Murray and Zach Gentry stand next to each other in QB drills. LOL!

IT's Nahlin, who has been pretty spot on, says Kyler Murray's father is no fan of Sumlin.

The senior Murray reached out to Watson (as well as TCU)

He also reached to Malik to talk to Kyler.

I get it that Murray's dad is an aTm legend. However, if the family is looking for what's best for Kyler, it's hard to refute that Texas may offer the best scenario for him. 1. Aggy has an established true freshman QB that likely holds onto the job for the next 3 years, meaning a redshirt for Murray next year and two more years of carrying a clipboard. Texas does not have a proven QB. Hell, Murray could start at Texas next year if he's capable. 2. Texas baseball is a far superior program to A&M. That is not even up for debate. Considering his size, baseball could be his ticket to a pro career and not football despite a 43-0 record as a prep QB.

So ... opportunity to play QB almost right away, or at least a faster track to the job, and be part of one of the country's elite baseball programs.  Or sit behind an entrenched starter for three years and play in an average baseball program.

Doesn't seem like that tough of a decision to me.

It would be nice to have kyler, first to see the Aggies bleed out more, second to create compition for gentry and heard but doesn't he stand just the same chance of sitting for 3 years with us. Heard could and should be starting with us for the next 3 years.

Agree, however I would bet Kyler would be the aggies QB if not as a freshman than as a sophomore. He's that good. Murray is being compared to Russell Wilson and not just because their close to the same height. He has the intangibles to be a great college QB and he's more a proven high school passer than most dual threat quarterbacks which is probably because he's has a father that was a college QB to help him.

If Kyler decommits  from A&M and comes to Texas, it wouldn't surprise if he's our best QB and I'm a big Jerrod Heard fan.

Kyler is probably 5'10" at best.  My son is 6'0 and hes obviously shorter than him.  Not too many 5'10 QBs are successful in the NFL.  Baseball and the horns is his best option.  Then he can compete for QB but just remember Watson refuses to play true freshman QB's
