Is Texas Headed for a Showdown with KU?

The Longhorns took the court tonight in the quarterfinals of the Big XII tournament in Kansas City and looked like a team on a mission.  Taking a 23 point lead into halftime, Texas came out in the second half and never let the Sooners get any closer than 13 points.  The defense looked great and the team shooting percentage was around 50% from the field.

The ‘Horns get the winner of the Texas A&M/Mizzouri game in tomorrow’s semifinal matchup at 8:30 p.m.  Texas has beaten Texas A&M twice this season and Mizzou once in Austin midway through the season.  Everything points to a showdown in the championship game with Big XII North powerhouse Kansas, whom the Longhorns beat by 11 points in Lawrence back in January.

Hold on the your hats….  It’s gonna be a wild ride.
